JUNE 26-27, 2026 - WAUSAU DOWNTOWN AIRPORT

Wausau Events, in proud partnership with CoVantage Credit Union and Brickner's of Wausau, is thrilled to present Wings Over Wausau!

Get ready for an unforgettable experience featuring spectacular professional daytime aerobatic airshows both days, plus breathtaking nighttime airshows each night! In addition, one of the area's largest Fireworks shows will take place on Saturday night!

Enjoy a wide array of activities for all ages, including: Static aircraft displays, military exhibits, kid's area (games, activities, bounce houses and a full petting zoo), Pilot meet & greets, food vendors, live entertainment and much more!

2026 weekend schedule:

FRIDAY - JUNE 26

4 PM: Gates open to the public

*Explore activities, airplane and helicopter rides, kid's area, 18+ food vendors, live music, etc.

4:30 - 6 PM: Live Entertainment by Old Pine Road Band

6 – 8:30 PM: Spectacular airshow featuring US Military Aircraft and multiple aerobatic performers followed by the Pilot Meet & Greet (inside the white tent)

8:45 PM: Dusk and Dark Lighted Airshow

9:15 to 10:15 PM: Live Entertainment by Old Pine Road Band

SATURDAY - JUNE 27

7 AM: Registration for the IncredibleBank Clear For Takeoff 5K

*Kiwanis Pancake breakfast 7 AM to 10 AM

11 AM: Gates open to the public

*Explore activities, airplane and helicopter rides, kid's area, 18+ food vendors, live music, etc.

1 PM to 4 PM: Live Entertainment - Community Performing Arts Showcase

4 PM to 6:45 PM: Spectacular airshow featuring US Military Aircraft and multiple aerobatic performers followed by the Pilot Meet & Greet

6:45 PM to 8:45 PM: Live Entertainment by Susie and the Detonators

8:45 to 9:15 PM: Dusk and Dark Lighted Airshow

9:15 to 9:45 PM: Fireworks!

9:45 to 10:30 Live Entertainment by Susie and the Detonators

2026 EVENT & GENERAL INFORMATION:

ENTERING & EXITING:

Event entrances are located at Elmwood Blvd. and Emerson St.

Pedestrians may enter through the Elmwood Blvd. gate, while parking pass holders may enter with their vehicle through the Emerson Street Gate

$5 per child and $10 per adult for the weekend (both cash & card accepted)

PARKING & SHUTTLE

ENTERING & EXITING:

A FREE shuttle will run to local hotels during the event on Friday & Saturday. Stay tuned for information as the event approaches.

Attendees may purchase a parking pass to park on the grounds. Passes are valid for ONE day. You must show your parking pass for re-entry.

Additional parking is available on select side city streets through the neighborhood.

I'd like to come to the event, then leave and return later in the evening, is this allowed?

Yes! All attendees receive a wristband - make sure to keep this on for the whole weekend to regain access to the event grounds!

It says no carry-ins, but I have a baby/toddler, what do I do?

We allow parents to bring in baby food (formula, etc.) for their younger children!

The schedule says there should be planes flying right now, but I don't see any. How can I receive updates?
