2. Participants must stay within their assigned space to create their artwork, be it square, horizontal or vertical and move around without interfering with the artist/space next to theirs. The whole space does not have to be used. Please keep your area tidy and clean up before you leave.
3. Artwork must be appropriate for public viewing. Full nudes, advertising, business, school, political logos, political statements/symbols, or religious proselytizing of any kind are NOT permitted.

5. NO drawing on any walls, steps, vertical surfaces or open spaces. (don’t leave chalk pieces behind).
6. NO personal vending, selling or re-selling of any products or commodities.
7. If you are using an awning, do not in-fringe on other artist’s spaces and public walkways. Or work it out with your neighbor’s if it goes a little into their space and share some shade. When you are finished, you must remove the awning to allow room for the public to view your artwork. ChalkFest committee reserves the right to have tents moved or removed.

General Suggestions
Wear a hat and sunblock to prevent sunburn. Knee pads/cardboard are strongly recommended. Pastels will be provided in multi-colors so keep in mind if you are using a predominant color in your design you may need to purchase additional sticks in that color (25c per stick). Some swapping of colors with other artists may be possible.
In Case of Rain/Severe Weather
Clear plastic sheeting will be available but distributed only under the direction of the committee on site. Committee will ask for help from artists to aid in covering up artwork and to remove plastic after rain clears out. In case of severe weather, the festival will be cancelled. No refunds are available if the event is cancelled. Announcements on weather concerns will be made over the sound system from stage.
